Data Protection Compliance

At Opus Talent Solutions and in all associated companies and brands, we take the security of personal data and compliance with applicable laws very seriously.

We are fully aware of the implications of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and are actively preparing for when it comes into force on 25th May 2018. We are working through a programme to assess and mitigate the risks that we create for others by processing their personal data and have engaged a GDPR advisory team who specialise in preparing recruitment businesses and agencies. This programme includes reviewing all processing activities, updating all processes and policies and ensuring our employees are all trained appropriately.

Confidentiality and trust are integral to Opus and we wholly endorse the intent of the GDPR which is to ensure transparency, fairness and an increased confidence in the security of the data for the individuals whose data we hold.

Preparing for the requirements of the GDPR by 25th May 2018 has high priority in the business and has the full support of the management team and board. Our privacy policy and other relevant processes and policies will be updated and rolled out by May 2018.

As a global talent consultancy and recruitment agency, we process personal data relating to candidates, clients and our employees, whether prospective, current or past. This data may be names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, date of birth, CV / resume, passport details etc. We may also share such personal data outside the European Economic Area (Area) but have appropriate safeguards and policies in place to comply with applicable laws.

Security of data is also of paramount importance to Opus. Access to the database is password protected and restricted to those who work in that sector. Laptops are encrypted and password protected.
